Online games are fun, can help us stay social, and improve brain health. So, whether we're toddlers or seniors, they have a useful place in our lives. Here are 3 free online games that are well-suited for older ones.
Tower of Babel
Learning a new language is a great way to improve your memory. Even if you don't want to become conversational in a foreign tongue, you'll enjoy learning different words in this fun game. You have options like number of words and time for recall. You can also choose the language manually or accept it randomly.
This game helps you improve your attention span and ability to focus. You'll use your short-term memory to focus on numbers and letters. Advanced settings allow you to choose if you want numbers in ascending or reverse order, letters in alphabetical or reverse order, or if you want to use numbers and letters. After you've seen a sequence of numbers and/or letters, you'll need to type it in the same order.
Challenge yourself with this one! You will be shown 25 words and have 60 seconds to memorize them. You will need to identify 5 words that you previously saw out of a set of 15 words total. This helps with the brain functions of memory, language, and attention. You can choose easy, medium, or hard.
